Eduardo Castro was project manager for the structural design of the new MTA / NYCT Revenue Facility at 46-25 Metropolitan Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens. Two MTA groups, New York City Transit (NYCT) and Bridges and Tunnels (B&T) co-occupy the building but retain separate revenue processing operations. The structure was designed according to the most stringent requirements of the New York State, New York City and IBC 2000 building codes.
The structural system consists of steel composite beams with a combination of steel moment frames and braced frames for lateral stability.
