York County Judicial Center

Eduardo Castro was project manager for this 330,000 sq.ft., eight-story judicial center that includes 12 courtrooms, seven hearing rooms and an unfinished shell floor for six future courtrooms. A full basement level accommodates parking and secure holding areas. This new facility in the historic district houses all county court functions. The west front has a semi-circular portico with recessed entrance. On the north and south are two story projecting sections. Behind the portico is a solid glass wall with large towers on the north and south sides. There is a skylight atrium with exposed trusses supporting four-story curtain wall
